um... it's an annual event, it's an autox with about 210 cars, so i guess the next one is 2006.

They said 04 was the last year they were going to hold it? Where did they do it? They built a parking structure over the old course? So they did it again this year?

i was there but didnt drive... i think it was like 20 bucks for 1 run (3 laps)
i think they just shifted the track over to the next parking lot next to the new structure. mike brandt said that theres supposed to be another one next year.. so yea

...where does gunn highschool get funding for their cars, they had like 3 race cars. two being rotaries. and what happened to that black tII? i saw it in line for a run but didnt run.

I drove the Gunn Colt @ DeAnza 2003. I was invited this year but was not able to return the invitation in time. (Also, poor and 140 miles away doesn't help any)

It was cancelled after 2003 because DeAnza was going to build a parking structure, but I guess it still happened. They changed it to invitational because before when it was first-come-first-serve, people would just camp in line the day before. This wasn't fair to others (I guess). When I drove, I had to get in line at 3AM and just sat around for a couple hours...

Mr. C, the auto teacher @ Gunn is a great guy. His RX-3 is his own personal vehicle from many years ago, and the FB was a class project 5 years ago.

Read all the 7 (and the rest of gunn auto) HERE
