Thanks for all the help guys. Schwinger recommended La Crescenta and Sunland/Tujunga, so I'll also be looking at those areas.

Congratulations! There are quite a few Carneige Mellon grads in the Pasadena area (Caltech grad students). I'm sure you'll enjoy the job at JPL, I was thinking of applying for a job there a while back but decided to try something different. Good luck.

good choice..kinda high rent area but its worth it due to short commute with zero to little traffic.

Hang out with me in La Canada Flintridge. I live a mile away from JPL and can get there using surface streets!

Too bad I'm 17 and still in high school, but you can sell me your FD when it breaks!

btw I was kidding. There're no apartments and the average price for a house around here is 1.2 million.

At least there's Angeles Crest Highway. ^^

Haha. I have heard that La Canada will be too expensive for me, your parents must have more lucrative jobs than a mechanical engineer like myself.

Yep, those would be the towns. You can hit JPL on the streets from any of those neighborhoods, and the housing prices are reasonable. PM if you need in any info, as I live in that area.

Yeah that's him. Don't ever get into a freindly conversation with the guy, he does not shut up.

For anybody who cares, I took the job and I'll be moving out late June. I'm going to need to locate some stock parts that I can temporarily swap in to attempt to pass smog. Guess I'm going to need a stock radiator and airbox at the least. Thanks for everyone's help!

For smog hook-up, PM DJDino. Not a guarantee but at least techs wont be too strict. He helped me a lot in the past.

Thanks wackyracer. My car should be good for actual emissions output (I have a high flow cat and airpump/ACV), it just won't pass visual because of my intakes and V-mount IC.

Airbox, yes, Radiator, I don't think you need to put back to stock unless it inhibits you running the stock airbox / emissions controll equipment...

I need to use a stock radiator because I've modified my koyo for the v-mount setup. I think that and the air intake should be about it though, provided they'll let me through with a downpipe, bonez high-flow, and rb dual tip.
