FD gave me a New Year present

So I got off work yesterday night and decided to go get a drink at a local Pearl Tea place. As I got onto the highway, I went through the gears at 60% throttle or so, then all of the sudden the car started to act up, the vaccuum bounced up and down at all rpms.

- I pulled over, let the car cool, checked to see if there were any leaks, nothing, so i limped it home and started to tear it down, checking to see if I found anything obvious, still nothing.

-I did the compression check today and here are the results
front rotor: 95-95-100
rear rotor: 30-30-60

Needless to say I'm due for a new engine. Thanks again FD..

With that said, I'd like your guys's opinions
1) rebuild
2) rebuild and sell
3) sell as is
4) rebuild and keep

Details:
-I had just dropped a newly built engine (as of last year) and only had about 20k miles on this motor.
-Tuning was conservative (base mod map, fan settings to lower temps)
-I don't drive it hard as it's my daily driver

Way to start off the New Year!!!

Rebuild and keep it of course!! Who tuned it for you last time? Not saying that it was a tuning mistake, just curious. Sorry to hear about the motor letting go though. I know who I'd call to rebuild it this time.

Rebuild or replace with another rotary, but try and chase down the source of your detonation. If the main engine wire harness is old, replace it. Check everything in your fuel system to make sure that things are working properly and that you have proper fuel pressure and timing. Could be an old sticky injector. Make sure and chase down the source of your detonation, but yes, keep it rotary!

"rebuild" and "rebuild and keep" is the same thing..
Goes to show how much the blown motor has messed me up...

Have Karack rebuild it or sell to me and I'll have Karack rebuild it for me. Each time you sell a roller there is a good chance it will end up with a V8 in it.

yup, I've even seen some CYM and Chaste White FDs with V8s on them

Where's Karack located and how are his rates?

To LS1 guys:

-I don't hate nor love the V8 swap, I know all the pros and cons of the V8 swap. It's neither rotary pride or V8 hate. it's just a path I dont' want to take. Honestly if I wanted an LS1/LS2 etc I'd get a Corvette.
