Water/Meth Necessary?

Hey guys I was just wondering if a water/meth kit was necessary? I'm running, downpipe w/ race tech cat, bonez hf cat, 3" exhaust, stock intake(m2 later on), aftermarket smic, hks twin power ignition, and a pettit ecu...91 octane btw at 12psi. I was just wondering if it's necessary or it'll be safer to put on because I have a AEM Water/Meth kit from my old 240 just laying around...

It's the easiest and best safeguard you can get. Just get a cheaper kit like I did (DevilsOwn) and run distilled water. Lowers AIT, helps prevent detonation and overall is just nice. Though it will make your car put down like 5 rwhp less, but that's a small sacrifice. Most people, myself included, run it, so we can boost higher, without worry of detonation and such, but as a safeguard it works well too.

^ Good advice... if it weren't all lies! You don't even have a 7.

Use it your call will love you more.

Although you might want to get a better ECU. The pettit ecu is nice but it's just an updated fuel map and a poor one at that.

If you intend on going over 15psi on pump gas its a must out here in Cali, or if you want it to just be on the safe side of pushing your car... its a great investment. I am running the AEM kit as well... work awesome

thanks for the input...I'm planning on installing it during spring break along with my downpipe, hf cat and fixing my clutch switch. But that's all after I get done changing my cousin's clutch on his mr2 and changing transmission on my friends 240. It's gonna be a busy spring break for me
