Anyone know a caplable machine shop nearby that can mod the wastegate of an S4 TII turbine housing without breaking the bank? Specifically boring larger the orifce and surounding wall, lathe a larger seal, and then attaching it to the swing arm.

I don't get into turbos much these days. But there are a few people in our area that do.
Check with Granatilli motorsports in oxnard. They may know where to send you.
Magna Charger (eton blowers) is in ventura.

Or just look to the SFValley. You can get anything there, and for a good price.

Well I signed up to caravan with the Worlds Largest Seven Stock Caravan. Then I thought if you guys were gonna caravan down to meet up with them. Was there a plan? I'll drive down with you guys to the caravan if there's a plan. I live in small town north of Santa Barbara. So let me know.

sorry I haven't been very active on here, trying to get the car back together in time for sevenstock. There are quite a bit of locals looking to get a caravan together, this upcoming week i'll get a idea of where everyone is coming from and we can setup a meet up point and time. If anyone is interested on here joining the caravan and leaving Saturday morning please post up your location.

Thanks

Greg

I didn't think anybody was interested.. I am. I live in Lompoc. About 45min to an hour north of Santa Barbara. My 89 N/A is not in the prettiest condition I wanted it to be in, but it can still travel. So me and my girl are in!

Hi Ventura County people. I just wanted to get this thread back on top. It seems you people are the closest RX-7 people I could possibly relate to. Gregs22 and rickRHD again my apologies to you guys for asking to get the ventura caravan together for SevenStock and then not even going. I had a lot of problems with swapping my front bumper. Hard to reach screws that were rusty and studs breaking and or not coming out. But I managed to get it done the following weekend. This past weekend was the first time I got to drive her in a long time. It's all back together now, and I can start to think about fixing other things, like interior or window seals... But that's why I need you guys. What about that BBQ thought I read on this thread a ways back? How about on a Sunday so we could drink a couple of beers and watch football games!?!?!? Huh? We could make it a potluck BBQ?! I'll prepare a really good Tri-Tip. If somebody could open their home to this, It would be great to meet new people and make new friends. I'm 48 and work for the government so you know I'll be professional and respectful of the house and owners and neighbors. So does anybody agree? Just please don't plan on anything this weekend. I've already made plans. I'm going to Las Vegas in the RX-7 with my girl to bet and watch football! It's just what we do. So don't let this thread die. "No matter what happens, Stay Alive! I will find you!" Ha, guess what movie that's from!

I'll soon have another rotary powered vehicle on the road, this originally was going to be a pretty simple n/a beater car but has turned into a larger than expected project.

Did you ever get this done? Reading up seems most members enlarge the hole themselves.

Heads up: I have a flyer in front of me from The Porsche Club of America announcing an autocross event on April 13 at the Camarillo Airport. Last year was a bit disappointing not seeing one RX7. Maybe this year will be different.

It was free last year to spectate.

Do you have to be a member to sign up? My FC hopefully will be road ready before the end of this month.
