tonight I spotted a red fd all stock body with oem wheels and HID headlghts on the 101 fwy overpass and Rose Ave. Anyone here?

 

I've seen at least 1 stock red fd around the area, dont know the owner tho. I see a black or dark blue rx8 in mid town Ventura with pretty flush wheels and a roof rack with a bunch of stickers on the fairing, looks pretty nice. I noticed one of the stickers was Lebren.

 

That RX8 is a good friend he does some very cool things with LED's.

Oh cool, I've met Eren a couple times, didn't know that was his car. His led stuff is impressive, there is another 8 that lives in my neighborhood that has one of his rear bumper lights.

Hey everybody! Just wanted to say Happy 4th of July and also wanted to check in and see what was going on since I havent been on here in a month or so. I just found out about Sevenstock and Im really stoked about it. I just got flew in from Spain last week and im currently at a Navy base in Mississippi, I'll be back in the Ventura area around mid August. Also, I just received word yesterday from Tony at Lucky 7 that my motor and turbo kit are finished and ready to be picked up. Im hoping that I will be able to get the motor and turbo swapped in time for Sevenstock, hopefully I can get some help since this is my first swap. Hope to hear from you guys soon!!!!

 

fc3CB let me know if you need a hand. Looking foward to 7stock! I'm thinking about getting a room nearby the track the night before to have a little fun haha. Anyone going to sign up for the track event? There's a good possibility I will sign up if I get my new setup on time.

 

Haha I will definitely let you know Greg, most likely am gonna need a hand. But Im really want to get some track time too, hopefully I can get all this stuff done by then. Are we gonna try to get a group together to roll up there again this year?

fd3CB, you out in Gulf Port? A Seabee friend of mine is going out there next week. I'm headed out to Louisiana in a few days and probably wont be back till the end of August but I can give you a hand if you are still working on it by then. If you have a datalogit and wideband I can help you get a solid break in / street tune on it also.

I gotta check my work schedule but if im not offshore ill definitely be going to SS and doing the track event.

 

Yup that's exactly where I'm at lol, this place sucks since i don't have my car. Its alright though because the FD would've hated this hot humid weather. But yea man I will definitely be hitting you up for some help. Hopefully we can expect to see you at SS this year.

 

I plan on going. It'll be my first time! If there's a Marriott anywhere near by, I should be able to get a hookup on 2 rooms if you guys want to save a few bucks...

On another note...I just had an epiphany. DriftDreamzSS, I think I've met you many many years ago. I used to always hang around Miguel's (RMJ) shop back in the days (i forgot which exact location). They always referred to you as "Little Matt".

I have been seeing a RHD gray 323 gtx looking mazda around the ventura rd quite often. Has fender flares and some pretty low offset wheels, pretty clean looking car. License plate says "90 mazda" Anyone know more about the car?

 

I've seen that guy before. Spotted him a bunch of times by the military base when I still had my RHD Accord. Looks like an older guy, but never had the chance to talk to him.

Been awhile since I last saw him, though.

On another note, what's everyone up to tomorrow? I have some things to do in the AM, but that's about it. Not really looking forward to spending the day at home being a slouch. Sushi anyone?

Just bought a 82 FB, anybody know a good place to get a tune up, or to tune it out in the area

 

If you are looking for a rotary specific shop then Mariah Motorsports in Santa Barbara or Tri Point Engineering in Chatsworth are probably the nearest shops. However I strongly recommend picking up a FSM, doing some research and learning to do as much on your own as possible.

There is also Wildpony Motorsports in Santa Clarita.
