the test results are in...
i had my car smog checked at chaffey the other day due to a ticket and heres what i got. car is a 86 GXL with test pipe, gutted cat, and magnaflow mufflers, and home made CAI.
(max=max allowance, gp=gross polluter, meas=amount measured)
AT 15 MPH- CO2: 13.5% meas; O2: .6 meas
HC(PPM): max-141, gp-316, meas-652
CO (%): max-.86, gp-2.36, meas-2.13
NO(PPM): max-1161, gp-2189, meas-349
AT 25 MPH- CO2: 12.3% meas; O2: .4 meas
HC(PPM): max-116, gp-266, meas-599
CO (%): max-.66, gp-2.16, meas-4.14
NO (PPM): max-991, gp-1989, meas-229
I also had a decibal test performed.
max allowable decibals are 95dbA (+/- 1.5dbA)
I recieved 98.3dbA at 4875rpm.
so thats that

the automotive center at chaffey does smog checks/tests.

But by getting a gross polluter badge put on your car you'll have to pass a test only smog test, which usually tends to be more thorough and harder to pass..

^he didnt put a gross polluter badge on my car. he gave me the results, gave his opinions on what i should do to pass (stock airbox/exhaust), then let me go.
