street port pass ca emissions?.

sorry, if this was asked before but i have been searching thru the forum and could not find the answer only ones that where close. but yea i was wondering if a street ported engine (s5 t2 stock ) besides a upgraded fuel pump (walbro) would be able to pass the Ca smog if all the emssion equipment where put back on?...

if so.. i would need to find a "rats nest" / vacuum pipes under the UIM where all the injestors are. if anyone could tell me where to get this item?..

-thanks

Yeah, it's really hard to pass smog with a street port.

Not sure if this is totally relevant...but:

I passed smog with my FD.

-HKS Intake
-KS Intercooler
-Street port
-Downpipe
-Bonez High Flow Cat
-Airpump functioning
-Apex-i Power FC

You gotta flex it a little with the visual. Supposedly with Appendix G, those "visual" mods don't matter. Some places will test you, some places won't. To tell you the truth...I BARELY passed. I was within marks of limits on certain readings. It's possible that happened because I didn't lower/disable my boost. I heard the turbos spooling and BOV going when the guy was bringing it up to speed.

my friends fc with a street port passed emission. the only thing they were sketchy about was his timing since we did the rebuild ourselves. good thing the smog place was near a rotary shop that he took to "fix" the timing, but was still off.

it really depends. early opening causes problems, while late closing has virtually no effect.
