I need to rough fix the H8 tune before Steve's tuning session, so I can get the break-in done. The rebuild included a half-bridge.

Sorry for the obvious hijack here, but can someone point me to an appro link please.

Sorry for the lack of response lately, but here goes a tentative schedule for the tuning date. Given that each car will take roughly 2 hours, I've spread everyone across all 3 days as best as possible.

Also a reminder to bring cash that day to pay Steve the remainder and the dyno shop. The dyno shop will tack on an 3% fee if you pay by credit card.

I'll mark you down for a street tune, but it's either one or the other. You can throw your car on the dyno to get some numbers, but Steve will charge again if you want a dyno tune after a street tune.

Steve Kan in San Jose, May 26-28

Insomniac, please put me on the standby list. If it would help, I can give a deposit, but I would want it back if I don't get in. Looking at the options, I think I fit into #2 category. I will PM you with more details on my car in case it works out... thanks!

I got the o2 bung added and my plugs were changed about 2 weeks ago to the ngk 9s.. I'll probably have about 300 miles or less on the plugs before the tune, is it still recommended that I change em a day before the tune? Where do you guys recommend I order them from..any specific local shop or particular online shop?

Thanks!

1. Bring cash to pay your remaining balance to Steve.

2. Stock turbos - get a second O/2 bung added to your downpipe and make it easily accessible.

3. Single turbos - Remove your O/2 sensor to make sure it's not siezed on there.

4. Change your plugs 1 day prior to tuning, and bring extra plugs just in case of fouling.

Should change em out the day before the tune, I'd just go to Kragen if I were you just for pure convienence. If you don't change them out I'd bring spares just in case.

Hey I requested to be a on waiting list first, I'll do whatever you need me too, I'd like this tune! All I want is the street tune, I have a dyno I use elsewhere.

Ok guys, next weekend is just around the corner so here's the final schedule according to some of the messages that has been communicated back to me. I swapped some people around and set the 2 street tuning guys for early sunday morning. Please take a look at the schedule and plan your weekend accordingly.

Also a couple of last notes:
We are guest at Tech 3, so show some common courtesy while on their facility.
Please bring your own tools, as Tech3 will not be lending out their tools.
No burnout or hot-rodding in the parking lot, we wouldn't want to attract any unwanted attention from the neighboring businesses or law enforcement.

I'll see you guys then!!!!

Saturday - May 26th

1.Gerald Coulter/dyno......9am
2.Houdini /dyno...............11am
3.Roto7FD / dyno.............1pm
4.tdazmansFD /dyno........3pm
5.dstrbdsht/dyno.............5pm

Sunday - May 27th

7.waltersaegir /street.....11am
8.RotaryDreamz /dyno.....1pm
9.fd3s800 /dyno...............3pm
10.93SLVRFD /dyno..........5pm

Monday - May 28th

(Time slots are TBA, seeing what happens with Sat and Sun)

Hay Insomniac,

You still have me listed as street tune. Remember our talk at paul's, when you (and paul) successfully convinced me to do a dyno tune. I still think that 11 Am is what we talked about (sleeping-in...).

Thanks for setting this up Phong, it was good to meet you today. Steve did a great job as usual. 386 for the high number on my car, then Steve backed it down for a safe tune to 371. Once I get my EVC replaced so I can actually control the boost instead of running on the 10lb wastegate spring, should be an easy 400.

Man....I'm not cut out for this car... F%$#@ bad luck, I'm outta the game. Look out for my post to sell the car as a whole first, new owner will need a rebuild. If no offers, then will part out.
