To all you NA guys removing everything and putting block off plates and pineapple racing this, banzai racing that.... KNOCK IT THE !#$@#$ OFF!!!

You make your life's harder and in some cases my life harder for what.... .04hp??? All that money wasted on removing stuff and blocking stuff off is just that, a waste of money. Why even bother with NA just go Turbo and call it a day.

Marck once you get your car back to stock just keep it like that. Some of the best things you can do for an NA don't even effect emissions like lightweight flywheel and GTUs rear end. Sure you can do a bridge or PP or whatever, but why bother on a daily driven car?

There is nothing wrong on having an N/A with emissions removed BUT doing it on a non-smog exempt car is very risky and whatever you do, keep whatever stock parts you remove for rainy days.

I agree with Mike, keep it stock. I'm sure you won't notice a hp differance.

Plus...you will be able to drive your car worry free

78 is still stuck with smog testing. 75 or earlier is exempt in california. if i thought there was a real market for it i was going to go looking in people's fields for old japanese/european sedans/sports coupes to do modern swaps on to sell, unfortunately it's alot of work restoring most of those cars to make a nickel at the end of the day(or possibly take a loss). it would be nice if people could see a car for what it is, not a matching numbers original SS/RS camaro that people throw gobs of money at(more than original dealer cost) for example, that gets 8MPG and is slow by today's standards.

so true, the market for old school japanese cars is so small compare to domestic. Old school is NOT for those with no time and not an all-around person. It take a lot of patience and cash (both I dont have but I'm managing), blood, sweat and tears, not to mention lots of heines and you may loose your gf/wife also as you wont have time for them. So in summary, you cant show "pride of ownership" if you let some else do the work for you.

Couldn't have said it better myself, if you love you n/a that much...you'll probably love a n/a v8 just as much because a nicely modified rotary n/a isn't worth the time or hassle in California or it's strictly for the track

Where I live cops dont give a **** about anything like that so I'll be ok. I have a test pipe and a header with stock muffler, and hood checks are unheard of in my area. I also heat wrapped the header and put a heat shield over it so you can't see it. I got rid of the Holley and only block off plate is the ACV. I'll be fine, it looks pretty stock, beside the air pump with two lines missing..

I have no front plate and nobody cares, I drove with an open manifold past 10 cops for 6 weeks with no big deal, and when I had a fix-it signed off the officer went to look at the front for the plate and it didn't have one, he said nothing....

When I am in the Bay Area though I'll need to be careful, but I am glad to live where I do because they don't care

Yeah man, except in the wintertime which last year I had to cut a tree up just to leave home. Winter can be a pain, but not too bad. Ha ha, I love living in nowhereland.....Hwy 9 is fun as hell and speed limit's 45 on tight corners so you don't get a speeding ticket lol...

You coming to the meet on the 9th?
