uncorrectiable yeah you have to go to the ref...a cop can't sign it...it would have to pass visual, and pass smog...

My good friend has gotten at least two state ref tickets. One time the cop even put a sticker on his car saying it could not be driven until it was corrected and inspected. All he did every time was pay the ticket instead of going to see the ref.

I'm pretty sure the only one's that really matter are missing cat converter or air pump.

What I was envisioning is that you had to get the car smogged by the reff, then still go to court on the ticket and plead either guilty or not guilty at which point the cop would present the pictures of you car as proof that it was illegally modified.

If all you gotta do is put it back to stockish and smog it, how is this a big deal.

Dont just mail in the full bail amount when you get the ticket. Im pretty sure the cop was full of **** when he said none were correctable, the modified exhaust, no license, no proof of insurance, and no front plate should all be correctable. Even if he somehow tried to **** you by using a weird infraction code most judges would probably cut you a break if you showed up with proof of corrections. Average fees for those types of tickets are $137 each or a $10 proof of correction fee. If you dont have the other plate i think its like $30 to issue a new set. I would get everything signed off and have proof to show the judge, plead guilty and just act dumb about the emissions one and you will probably get off pretty easy.

Man... I just got a ref ticket yesterday... and i have another question.

So if I'm reading this thread correctly, I could just see the judge, pay the fines, and not see the state ref and then still be able to drive my illegal car on the street?

JUst go in plea no contest and tell them you can afford to fix the problems currently and they will reduce the fine. I got a ref ticket last year I freaked out and took my car apart and was like ill just take it on the track...Got a ticket with a pay it now option of $398 and i was like WTF? Paid it and went on my way...That was the easy part Im still putting the car back together

Could someone explain to me how to write a good written decleration. My friend just got a pretty big speeding ticket and were thinking about fighting since the officer never showed radar and "assumed" he was speeding. Now I think he should do a written declaration, and tips?

Every time I read something like this is pisses me off. This is where all of your hard earned tax money goes!

I went to the mall the other day and parked my car and a cop came up to me AFTER the car was parked and started harassing me for having a car too low, asked me about modifications, and threatened to tow my car.

Cops are such bullshit, serve and protect my ***.
