Speed Machine Performance

So I'm going to be getting my engine rebuilt soon and Speed Machine Performance is extremely close to my house. Has anybody had any work done by them? And if so, what did you have done? Were you happy with the quality? I don't want a chromed rebuild or anything... new parts, if I need them, would be nice (I'm not sure what's damaged and what's not yet).

If I need to, I'll drive up to Torrance to get my rebuild done; I'm not willing to compromise quality for ease of travel. But if Speed Machine does good work, it would sure be convenient.

Not yet. I'm really more interested in the quality of the rebuild than the price. If it's a reputable shop, I'm assuming they don't have over-the-top prices.

When I said Torrance, I meant MazdaTrix. Signal Hill is pretty close to Torrance.

Torrance is somewhat close to Signal Hill since you live away from this area. since i live in Carson, guess that makes Torrance next door to me. lol Signal Hill is closer to Long Beach. =] good luck on your rebuild. waiting for mine too.

They use Mazda Remans. I believe if you want a street port.

Well.....Falken has been going to them for years to build their D1 FD's. They're now working on the build of the Falken D1 RX-8. They must be doing something right.

I've never personally had work done there but a few people that I have talked to that have were really happy with the quality of the work.

Remember.....you get what you pay for so don't be shocked when their price is a little higher than what you might be expecting.

Dave and Matt can build a good motor. I have seen several cars that they've done for customers as well as cars that they have built for show/racing. I don't know anything about their pricing, but their work is pretty good.
