Spare a ride in an RX-7?

Hi all,

I've been lurking on here for a while soaking up information to help me decide if I want to jump into the wonderland of rotaries. I'd seen RX-7s at the track and auto-x's, but I wasn't really bitten by the bug until I saw a CYM FD parked on the street in front of my condo and decided it was the hottest car I'd ever seen (it has a Go Speed Racer Go license plate frame in case the owner's on here somewhere).

Now that I have a decent idea of what owning an FD entails, both money and time-wise, I'm still missing the most important piece -- the experience of the drive.

So I'm asking for a favor. Would anyone be willing to at least give me a ride in their FD so I can see what it's like? It'd also be a nice bonus to meet some forum members in person and see what a nice working FD should look/sound like. I live in Mountain View, CA (bay area) and would be willing to drive 20-30 minutes to meet up.

I know it's a bit of a stretch, but I figure it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks.

You sure about that? After all that time and effort, now you want to sell?

dingfwen, that's my FD! Thanks for the comments, glad you like the car

Where abouts is your condo that I was parked in front of it? Probably near Rock St?

I could probably give you a ride some time if nobody else does...shoot me a PM

If you look at his ad, it doesn't say anything about an SR20DET. It's a nice single-turbo... and it's not an original CYM either, it used to be MB.
