South Bay: Where to get a tune
South Bay: Where to get a tune
I may be purchasing a car that has a "hot start" problem. I talked to the builder and he said that the reason why there is a problem is it could be a mix of different things, possibly the timing or fueling or anything with the tune. It then warped the 3mm seals creating a gap and when the car is hot and tries to start, these gaps prevent the car from starting until the engine has cooled down and compression is back to normal.
Compression tests were taken by the builder and he said compression is perfect so I want to troubleshoot the car before having to go and replace the seals because if it's the tune, I replace the seals and the problem isn't fixed, then there is money down the drain.
He said it could be the tune, fuel system, etc etc. Where is a good place to get a tune for the car?

Don't get it. If your starting with a car with problems things will probably just get worse. Especially if you don't know the car and the problem is not pin pointed by the owner/builder.
But if you do then Neptune Speed.
