My car won't be running for a little while, but as soon as it does, I want to test out my new 61620B streetported motor.

Bummer you can't come.

On another note: anyone know where to get 100+ octane gas near San Bernardino? There's a place in Grand Terrace, but I don't know if I trust them.

Hey guys, it was pretty fun, but a total pain in the ***. I couldn't believe how long it took to make a pass. There were, from what I understand, around 500 cars there. Timeslip is in my vbgarage (see sig). You can check out the video I made of my three passes.

First off there is no need in warming up the tires on street tires all your doing is kiling them, and taking a chance in blowing your rear end...

And yeah you should have tapped the 8 grand or so with some speed shifting...but good runs...your mile per hour kept getting better good job bro

Yeah, someone else told me the same thing about burnouts on street tires. But you know what, it's fun Can't do that crap on the street, so why not do it in the water box for ***** & giggles. You're right, more of a chance to break something though...

Thanks tho, I was starting to understand a little better how to drive the car but I was so tired at after the last pass (up since 4:30 AM, hot as hell, hungry, etc.). My goal was to get 12.999 or better, but not yesterday. I need to learn how to drive better first. Quicker shifts and getting out of the hole... I learned a lot yesterday about how the whole drag strip thing works now.

But I forgot to mention and I am an idiot for not videoing (left camera in car in pits) but there was a skyline (R33 I think) that ran ~9.4 @ 140 mph!!! He def. lifted at the end. A couple of supras showed up, one that had 1200 hp, he had a lot of trouble getting traction though. I think he ran low 10s @ 130... pretty nuts!
