Socal Drag strip day?

I want to test out my straight line skills and my car setup also at a drag strip. I know that Irwindale has an 1/8th mile track, and I think they're open to the public on Thursdays? And the CA speedway in Fontana has a 1/4 mile track but I don't know any info on days that the general public can run.

So who would be down to hit up one of the 2? Hopefully someone who has attended one of the tracks could give us some details.

Oh yeah, and I'm moving in a week and a half, so I'd want to do this ASAP.

You can easily test anything on public roads.

humans = cones - knocking them down = penalties

If you're gonna go to Irwindale and you have an aftermarket turbo, you better have a fire proof jacket. They didn't let me run beacause of that.

California Speedway has street legals on the 30th. I'm most likely going. Does anyone have any DR's I can borrow for that day? And yes, I will pay you to borrow them.

Yeah, because I shorted out a wire and it shut off my car. I went passed the finish line at about 20mph, what's your point?

Will you be drag racing with your walker? Did you get those new tennis ***** on the bottom for extra traction?

rules

We always go to Irwindale and it is true, you need a fire jacket to run
you car because it has turbo?I am there almost every thursday.

California speedway will let you run if your car is currently registered and have proof of insurance. They won't let you run if you do not have insurance.

LACR will be closing soon, but this track you can go all out,They don't ask nothing,
just make sure you have your radiator overflow and all your lug nuts on your wheels. You can even run with no muffler.

Fris looks like he is pain, in that picture.

None of the above phaggots will be able to keep up with my lil SRT4 with factory stuff. Rene is an exception.

I'm leaving the state for a few months this Sunday, so I want to hit up the track before I go, maybe I'll go to Irwindale this Saturday. I have factory twins, so I should be cool with no jackets right? I don't even know of turbo jackets that would fit over the twins.

I've never heard of LACR before, but I'm in LA county (Hacienda Heights). I'll see if there's any events this week and maybe I'll hit those up too.

SRTs? They're cool, but I eat skittles for snacks.

Looking at the LACR website, they have some test and tune nights open to all racers. There's one coming up this Friday, anyone down to roll with me?

If I didn't have plans for Friday I'd say yes (it's half an hour from me haha), since I still need to get my time.

i didn't mean fire proof jacket for your turbos. I meant jacket, YOU the driver wears.

But if you have stock twins you don't need that jacket . Only when you have an aftermarket turbo.
