Hit up Irwindale last night, and met up with 61620B. I got 3 runs in, and my best was 8.8 missing 3rd, I pulled off a 1.9 60' on that run on street tires. I'm happy with that time for it being my first time, just wish I hadn't missed 3rd. Saw another FD there, I'm not sure if he's on this site. There was also a first gen.

Irwindale night

Yeah,he was a good driver for the first time on that track. He kicked some ***,
show them whats up.He could have run better, but was spinning his tires to much.
Like he said, had a couple of misshifts, but manage to go down the track. It was cool meeting AHarada. We should get more poeple out there,Especially all the local rotor heads. We saw 2 other 7's there also,a 85 GSL-SE and another 93 FD,Green stock looking. To bad AHarada is going for a while, and won't be able to run his FD.

The rules there are not so bad.Anyone can race just have your car ready (no fluids leaking, mufflers, lug nuts complete ,you may need jacket and helmet if you go faster than 8 sec in the 1/8Mile.)

Anyone down to hit the track? LACR is closed now and california speedway is open to street legals on the 26th. I want to go sooner but there is no other place that i know of..

Anyone know another 1/4 mile track around L.A?

I am interested. Have yet to run my car at the track, so why not. How crowded are these events? How many runs do you get?

I am going to the CA speedway event with some friends. This time, I'M GOING EARLY AS HELL. They sold out of tech tickets around 7AM last time, and the gates open up at 6. I'm going to plan on being there at 5:45 AM Sat. morning. I need to go out and get a portable canopy and maybe a BBQ too From what I could tell, they shut down around 5 PM, but I noticed a lot of the people leave before then. People were getting a lot more runs in later in the day and the weather is cooler, always a good thing.

I think there's an 1/8 mile strip in Perris Speedway... I do know that Irwindale has 1/8 every thursday.

They run out of tickets for drag racing or something else? Im going this Sat, but I was planning on going later on the day. If ima drag my car, I need to be there early for tickets?

LOL who drags their car 6am? Ill be way to tired to be controlling my car at 110+mph!

Also, do they sell race gas at Cali Speedway?

Man, I'm an ametuear (spelling ownz me). You have to go early!!! C'mon, I'll even have a little bit of shade for my fellow rotary enthusiast Yah, it's pretty stupid, last time I was there there were at least 300 cars that were running. I don't remember the number of total cars allowed to run, but I think it was around 400. I got there late last time, around 10:30. If you call that late.

PM me with your phone number and we can coordinate, I think I'm going to try and be at the track around 5:30-5:45 AM I'm not sure about the gas, I was going to put a little bit of 100+ octane in my tank just to be safe. I think track temps will be around 90F Saturday...

Are you going to run full slicks? Heavy on the mods? Gutted the car out from front to back? up-graded turbo's or turbo? C
