The WBO2 reads me in mid 10's during the whole of the rev range through to redline at WOT... The soot on my rear bumper over time also lends credence to that it's not running lean.
So - this leads me to believe the in-the-tailpipe kinds of sniffers just aren't accurate.

Holy thread ressurection Batman!!!
Took the motor apart, turns out the face of the intake ports were not ported at all, but the intake runners were enlarged and smoothed. Exhaust ports had some work done but exhaust sleeves were missing~~. Bad flow from big hole where sleeve should be to 1 7/8" header I.D.

Who built the motor? I took apart a motor from an unnamed shop, and it was claimed to be rebuilt with a large street port. I saw the receipt for all the work. Well all the seals were burned up and looked like junk/ were old as hell (hence the 15 psi oil pressure at idle, 30 maxed out) and the motor was as cast, zero port or even a polish ANYWHERE. The bill was a bit over 3k.

A reputable shop in western US is all I can say. It also was supposed to have the 17.5mm oil pump but only had the 15.0mm oil pump. Those were the only 2 things I paid for but didn't get. Where has honesty gone to?
Plus the motor that came with the truck when I bought it (different from motor I dyno'd above) had a receipt for a streetport from a different western US shop. Extremely slight streetporting, barely more than a cleanup but more than the above motor.
So.......I'll put this motor together myself and can check the ports to be sure. Hopefully it'll be broken in for DAVE's cruise.
