Well, just for you
.....You will:
1) Wash/wax every vehicle there. Starting with your own. Just Kidding. But a good start....
2) Get coffee/donuts/breakfast for everyone. ( I usually take care of this)
3) Coordinate w/ the local PD on the street closure. Give them a "goto" person.
4) Help set up all the vendors in their respective places. Get the big rigs in and setup ASAP.
5) Make sure the spectators/participants are parked in the overflow lot according to generation. Watch for people doing burnouts
, etc....report them to the local PD. (We'd like to keep on doing the show;-)
6) Get the RC car/vendors set up in the overflow lot.
7) Get all the people attending the show parked in their spots according to generation. Make sure to tell them that they CANNOT leave the show until after 1400hrs ( 2pm) as they enter the show parking lot.
8) That's it. Done by 0945 ish and you can enjoy the show. While the rest of us are still working the show.
There's more behind the scenes that most of you don't see. The club principals are there on prior days for setup of some of the proprietary displays. Coordination w/ the corporate folks for various logistical concerns. Getting the VIP's situated w/ their displays/properties. Making last minute changes, (sometimes extremely last minute) changes.
There's SO much more to it. This is just the execution part of the plan. A mere 20%. The other 80% is the 365 days (leap year this year) prior for planning. Yes, it takes that long to plan this event.
SO....THANK YOU to those that have volunteered...past, present and future. For making this FREE show look effortless!!!

You show up at 0Dark:30, help set up, help get everyone parked, then go enjoy the show.
Thats the long and short of volunteering. Very worthwhile contribution of time.

Jaime will let you know tomorrow if he is going to be quiting the Rx7 or staying on the forum. He is most likely going to sell his FC, Then a couple days later he will show you the Junker he just bought, then a day or two after that, he is going to quit again. Then the following week he will anounce the 20b he didnt buy. Then he'll say "lol, jk, wow, thanks".
After all that he will volunteer, just to back out the next day. But little does he know, after he signs up to volunteer, Seven Stock, will have been over for about 1.5 weeks
BUT, i dont think they allow
to volunteer at SS. Sorry Jaime.
