A 12-year-old San Ramon girl was in critical condition Wednesday night after being hit by a car that was racing on the streets of San Ramon, according to a Contra Costa Sheriff's Department spokesman.
The girl was struck shortly before 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Village Parkway and Alcosta Boulevard, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
San Ramon police arrested two men who were racing each other and believed to be traveling at high speeds when they crossed the intersection, Lee said. Narinder Ran, 23, of Dublin, the alleged driver of the vehicle that struck the girl, and Baljinder Gill, 23, of San Lorenzo were arrested on suspicion of felony reckless driving, felony racing and conspiracy. Gill received an additional charge of driving under the influence.
The girl, who was not named, was taken to San Ramon Medical Center and later transported by helicopter to Stanford Hospital, where she underwent surgery. Lee said her injuries included head wounds.

**** like this sucks. If it was at 230am I would place ALL blame onthe girl and her parents.
But this is just stupidity at its best which ultimately results in the worst.
How freakin stupid. They need to start revoking licenses for life for stupid people like this.

Great...I love it when **** like this happens in the city I live in. Makes us normal and responsible drivers go under a microscope with the cops...especially if your car is fixed up.
Anyhow, I hope the girl is okay and recovers. As for the idiots racing...they need to be taught a lesson.
I keep my crazy driving at the track.

well, seeing that this is almost a year old thread... I wonder how she is doing.
as for the guys that were racing, I hope they are still in jail... there are plenty of rural roads 5 minutes out of town with nothing but guard rails and telephone poles to crash into
