San Diego: Meet and BBQ at the USMC Air Museum - Sat May 3rd 10:30am

What: Meet, BBQ, and Photo Op.
Who: Rotary Enthusiasts! (Hoping for about 30 people.)
When: Saturday May 3rd 10:30am
Where: The Flying Leathernecks Air Museum - (Google Maps) on Miramar road, near Camino Ruiz.

Map: http://www.sdrxclub.com/users/twofer/fnammap.jpg

SDRX club thread: http://www.sdrxclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24

Hey Everyone,

One of my classmates is the Curator for the Flying Leathernecks Air Museum at MCAS Miramar, and has invited us to host our monthly meet at their place. The really cool part is they are going to let us park our cars next to their display aircraft! (With the caveat that you don't damage anything, you break it you buy it! And F4 Phantoms cost a lot!)

We will be able to enter through their street entrance, so we don't have to mess with the MCAS front gate. (While I don't think it's part of the base exactly, don't bring anything you're not supposed to have on base. (Drugs, weapons, etc.))

We can also have a BBQ on the side. They have a small picnic area that we can use, but we'll have to come up with the BBQ and some seating. Bring your own lawn chairs for seating, if you wish. Lets try to make this an awesome turn out, so tell your friends and family to come along. This event is open to all.

So, with that said, let's get a list going of who's coming and what they're bringing for the BBQ.

We're going to need the following:

- A Barbecue
- Food to cook
- Buns for hotdogs and hamburgers
- Snacks (chips and such)
- Drinks (soda)
- Condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc)
- Plates, napkins, knives, forks, etc
- Coolers and ice

Attendance list: Your handle / name and what you're bringing

1. Twofer - Coke, trash bags, other logistics

I talked to Curator guy today and he says he can bring the BBQs. We'll just have to provide the coals (if applicable) and the foods. I'm heading down there on Apr 7th to work out the details.

Two words: Filipino time.

And the museum closes at 3:30.

I figured we'd need time to set up, take down, get everyone to show up then start leading cars in. Really it's only half an hour earlier than the regular meet.
