As in any business, there will always be unsatisfied customer. There are folks out there that even swears that the rotary engine made by mazda is crap. Same as ford, there are folks out there that dont like ford. The point is, autotech's been around for some years its a given that there will be unsatisfied customers. Even for teddyrx2, you don't operate an official shop and you probably have not service as many folks as autotech, but I'm sure there are also folks out there, or in this forum, that are unhappy with your dealings. And it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the basket of good apples.
The thing about teddyrx2 is that from all his postings, he seems to focus his energy in bad mouthing autotech. I understand that poeple have opinions, but there is also a boundary between opinions and talking **** and the latter is what his leaning to. Opinion counts more if they are constructive and especially if you know what you are talking. A quick example is, your opinion would weight more on 20B/RX8-13brew swaps if you have also done something similar to that effect and you can show it. -- you get the point. Otherwise, it will be just talking ****, cause you have no idea or had experienced what it takes to get to that point.
Not sure if the intent is to boost himself and get more folks for his services. Boosting yourself can be achieved without bad mouthing. As in any business practice, you never know down the line if your paths will cross and you may need their help or your help which might affect that deal.
The san diego rotary community is small, and we should be focusing on how to enjoy our cars and talking to other rotary car owners. And to some far extent, if we can contribute on how we can improve the rotary engine in general. That shows maturity.

Teddyrx2 got there around 1PM and auto tech got there at 11:30AM. We stayed there until 1:20PM,but of course people get hungry so we left becuase it wasnt very big. teddy never saw our **** in our car because he was busy with his dog and talking to peeps. If people werent impressed, then why were people crowding over our cars?
So enuff of that because pretty much its the internet, you can say whatever you guys want. We didnt need to say anything. We proved what we got and what we got was better than your second gen combined with your dog. We had a lot of fun meeting new people and getting there opinions about us. If they are still Negative....like you said opinions are opinions.

If they are still Negative....like you said opinions are opinions.the wiring on the on the 8 was atrocious first of all. that and all the cars have the fake "earls" style fittings. ill bet they are silicone with slip over "steel braiding" with worm clamps to hold them in place. which if they werent slip over "steel braiding" then why the worm clamps. also they were weeping their asses off. why cant you keep coolant from leaking? its not like thats rocket science.
also there are SEVERE rubbing issues in the engine bay. its not like that motor is any bigger than the existing motor in the car. there should not be rubbing issues. period.
i asked what the a/r on the turbo on the 20b was and i was told 1.3 hate to tell you garrett doesnt make a 1.3. so......also i didnt get to look at the "custom" intake manifold but from what i was told the weld were ridiculous (and not in a good way)
the 20b motor was pitched way to the left and was so needlessly planted against the firewall.
and honestly if those minor things werent enough your attitudes and the way you all carry yourselves would make me want nothing to do with that shop.
that being said good luck in all your endeavors and i hope you all can keep fooling people into thinking you know what your doing
i had to work son. i been doing plumbing to get my moneys...
WOW.
the only reason people we crowding around the cars was to see if you all really could back your ****.

i stick to my previous statements that there are no longer any good rotary shops in SD. the closest good reliable place is mazdatrix and they are all the damn way in signal hill. speedmachine was the last trust worthy rotary mechanic in san diego. i was/am very close to those guys and i know first hand what can happen when 1 customer is unhappy BUT with that being said ...... that is just one person and some how dave and matt managed to keep a good rep. there was a reason for that.

Its funny how the people that did go and checked our cars cant talk **** in person but can talk **** online. I guess how you say we have fake earls are more lower than fake people
? Come on, This was over awhile ago so........
SHUT THE **** UP PEOPLE in the nicest way you guys should deserve. Say what you got to say instead of hiding behind a username.

And now your going to call people out?
WOW look at the baby wine and gloat bout something as soo stupid as opinions, looks like some one had a rash when they got butt hurt. if you really wanted to look like the upper man, you should have just been like ok, its done, but you still rant on and on,. and tell ppl to stfu. wow!
Congrats you really make your self seem legit now.,,

and i say this with the most upright respect. i dont care bought fighting or calling ppl out, but you can take it how it is.

i was trying not to be rude and trying to let people make their own mind up without involving my opinions. just like i would do at any car meet to a private owner of a car. so i dont like something? well thats my opinion. but point being when you start running your mouth or being shitty to my friends I'm not going to be nice and keep my mouth shut anymore. be it in person or online. its as simple as that.
but as i said if all the little things i saw wrong with the cars weren't bad enough (which little things that are wrong usually signify that there are far bigger and deeper problems that cant visibly be seen btw) the way you conduct yourself would make me want nothing to do with your shop.
you're acting like a million other shops out there that when someone says something is wrong with their work they throw a temper tantrum like 2 year old would.
"omg you don't like this or that well **** you then" not a good way to promote your business. just an FYI
and for the record. i dont hear you proving that any of my points are invalid and also for the record i dont think anyone can argue them. mostly because its my opinion but more importantly because they are valid points.
as i said good luck to you in all your endeavors.
