Also interested... I might get my *** handed to me, but it'll be a good lesson nonetheless!

Damn, Rule 2.1.5 might put me down. I don't have a catalytic converter on my car.

It's going to probably be ~$180 or so. I'd say you're better off going to a normal trackday, since it's cheaper.

Yeah, you'll be stuck in modified class.

It will be around $180 - $250 for Street Class, a bit more for Mod and Pro, but they win money if they win their respective class.

It will be a perfect gauge for how competitive you and car are against similar cars. You will either do well or have a very humbling experience.

I was hoping John Magnuson would go, but he's doing the Chihuahua Express event.

Anyways spread the word to whomever does do track days. More FDs and FCS the better.

I'm gonna wait till I graduate before jumping into this. I should be able to support a new expensive habit once I get out!

Have fun guys! I won the street class overall in my FD a few years back when the competition was a lot less intense. It's pretty competitive now.

Wish I could go again... but I'll be having a blast going down the Mexican highways at 180mph

Maybe I'll hit an event later in the year.... I have a unlimited class FD in the works... but it may be a while before that is done.

What was your setup (suspension, brakes, power) when you won in your FD, John? And the lap time I'm guessing in the 2.0x.xx range...

The current FD street tire record is a 2:04.xx and the R-comp record is a 2:01.xx, IIRC.

The fastest street tire car right now is a Supra on Neova's, it ran a 1.57.71

I'll probably be doing the Speed Ventures track day that Friday, then staying Sat and maybe Sunday to spectate the time attack.

Won't be bringing my car (not prepped to that level yet) but I wouldn't mind crewing for someone if they'd like an extra set of hands in the pits. PM me if interested.
