question about smog and turbo

question about smog and turbo

i was wondering if you would pass smog on a fd with a bnr stage 3 turbo, with all the stock components?

coo thanks guys, another question, if you install a pfc would you be able to switch it out and put in your stock ecu in time for the smog test?

yes you can pass smog with a bnr stage 3 turbo, the smog test doesn't have the engine accelerate fast enough to get much into boost. The BNR turbos will not fail the visual inspection.

what? ovcourse you would. how would rebuilt oem twin turbos (with larger wheels) affect your smog? they would still be considered stock twin turbos. Even with a Pettit or M2 ECU, I still don't see a problem if everything else remains stock. You could even do a M2 style intake box which is legal since it retains all the stock lines. If no one will pass you then you can go to a referee for a sticker then no tech can fail you for not knowing better.

Dude...you need to worry about smog when you have a great member like WackyRacer around. He could help you pass smog. No paper work needed either. Just PM him.
