absolutely nothing..... california emmisions are by far the strictest in the united states... our cars have hard enough time passing w/ everything on....... even doing a minor streetport will make it not pass. .... although i have personally seen 1 streetported motor pass legally... but the rest fail w/ out hesetation

#1 Actually there are many states much worse than CA, that require annual testing to CA standards. CA testing is only once every two years or on transfer of vehicle title.
#2 I passed last time with a mild street port, no EGR (I told the guy testing that the ACV was the EGR on my model) and a single cat just fine. The tune of a vehicle and what emissions equipment is visually on the vehicle is much more important than the porting. If you are failing with a mild to moderate street port, you have tuning issues.

1993 fd, 93k, has a DP, passes with flying colors, as long as you dont get failed on the visual, and that happened to me once!
1991 fc automatic, stone stock, 110k, emissions were nearly 0 across the board
1988 t2, light street port, no egr, NEW 3" main cat, WORKING NEW acv, passed, no problem, was a little high on the nox
1985 gsl-se, air pump, acv shimmed to blow air into the exhaust ports, new cat, and thats it, all of the emissions equipment was gone. passed after i put the new cat in it.
1985 gsl-se, all stock except it has headers and a main cat, passed easily, almost as clean as the 91
1985 gsl-se, stock, injectors leaked so bad it would barely start, but it passed smog with no trouble
1983 limited edition. with everything set to stock specs and working properly it wouldnt pass. we played with it for a couple of hours, and ended up shimming the acv to blow air into the exhaust ports all the time, then it passed
i obviously know my smog guy, and he doesnt look too closely
