Typically a hood tilt can result in worse engine bay temps as airflow is disrupted and cowl induction takes place, trapping hot air. I've taken some things out, however, that allows the air to flow through the radiator right out the back of the engine bay.

Heat soak is quite a problem for rx8s and dammit, fe3p would sound so much more badass than SE3P.

There's some JDM hood tilt piece that cost triple digit $$$ or one can implement some good ol' home depot ingenuity!

I <3 when someone pulls up next to me and shouts, "HEY, you're hood is open!!!" Me - "I know!"

 

If you're going specifically for the vert rim BBS look, get some spacers while you're at it :P
