I’m a liar and I know it . . . . . . .

Lets see, the Holiday Inn is at Sunset and Church Lane (the 405). If he takes Church lane for a tenth of a mile he’ll be on Sepulvida. Hang a right on Sepulvida for one mile to Wilshire. Hang a left on Wilshire for two miles and guess where he is? Beverly Hills. If he makes a right on Wilshire instead of a left, in four miles Wilshire will dead end into Ocean Avenue. What's on the other side of Ocean Ave, the Pacific ocean, right? He is driving, right? Look at the attached map, follow the blue line, and you tell me where the liar part comes in.

Not I,

I didn't realize the beach was that close. What kind of people are at Santa Monica beach?

If you're worried about your safety, don't. It's safe. If you're worried about meeting some hottie ditching your GF and never going home again, be afraid, be very afraid.

Visit the pier.

and the Third Street Promenade

That's the Third Street Promenade. Three blocks from the beach there is shopping, food, and entertainment on both sides of Third street. No cars are allowed to drive through that section of Third Street.
