I doubt it. The western conference is too deep and with Baron Davis and Richardson healthy next season the Warriors will burry the Flakers...GO WARRIORS!!!

Hey, the warriors may have been the punch line of every western conference joke for the past few years but now that we have Baron Davis leading the charge it's going to be a different story. Davis will do for the warriors what Bonds did for the giants. Besides last season Richardson put down 21 points a game. All he needs to do is develop a decent cross over (which Davis can help him with) and you have a Paul Pierce type player. Troy Murphy was a double double monster last season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. And then you Mike Dunleavy developing into a high quality perimeter shoother. Throw in the fact that Mike Montgomery is coaching this squad. I'd say you have a very deep and versatile team to deal with. Sort of like the pistons before they acquired Rasheed.

Who's the one person who can LEAD that team. We all know Davis doesn't know what leadership is. What's worse is he's the point and will be calling the plays most likely. That team will be almost like Sacramento WAS, but not as deep and good as they WERE.

According to the SF Chronicle the entire franchise Davis is not only the heart of the team but the entire franchise wants to play for him. Unlike a certain prima donna in LA who wears the number 8 jersey. You did make a good point about his on court play calling. That might be a major issue with Montgomery. GO WARRIORS!!!

Phil Jackson

The biggest challenge Phil Jackson will face is finding marquis veterans who are willing to be in the same locker room and team with Kobe. It will be very difficult since Kobe is hated throughout the league by almost every player. His trying to expose Shaq who is one of most popular players ever in the league didn't help him image with other players. If anyone can pull it off though, it's Phil Jackson. He did help keep the wildly unpredictable Dennis Rodman together long enough to win a few extra rings in Chicago. We will see what happens in the off season. A coach of Phil Jackson calibre can make a lot of things happen so it will be interesting.

The Warriors still need a big man. Troy Murphy is a power forward and Adonal Foyle is very good as a player coming off of the bench. Foyle get way too many minutes at the center position for the Warriors to be succesful and make a playoff run. With a decent true center, whoever else the Warriors have in the post would be much more effective, increasing the chances of success and reaching the playoffs. Chris Mullin has been pretty ballsy so far, it will be interesting to see what he does in the draft coming up.

How bout' those Washington Wizards(Warriors)?????????

Shaq will be back in a few years cause he likes Phil. Kobe likes Phil, too. But it's going to take some time for them to work things out and put away their differences.

All the Lakers need to do is trade lot of players they really don't need and they should be fine

Phil Jackson

For the clippers to progress they must get help on the post alongside solid vet Elton Brand!!! Corey Maggette has blossomed into pretty solid player offensively and defensively. His progress has made Quentin Richardson's departure an afterthought. Same old story with the Clippers though, management gives them a little daylight only to slam the curtains shut later. A management change might be the best thing for the Clippers, maybe then the can build and KEEP players. Miki Moore has shown flashes and they do have the comeback player of the year Bobby Simmons who was an NBA journeyman at best in his years before the Clippers. His soaked up a lot of knowledge of the game and how to play from Michael Jordan when he was a Wizard. Mike Dunleavy is a good coach, hopefully they will keep him around.

If the Clippers is sold to another owner, then maybe they can make it to the playoffs...
