Phil Jackson's back!!!!!!

A management change might be the best thing for the Clippers, maybe then the can build and KEEP players. Miki Moore has shown flashes and they do have the comeback player of the year Bobby Simmons who was an NBA journeyman at best in his years before the Clippers. His soaked up a lot of knowledge of the game and how to play from Michael Jordan when he was a Wizard. Mike Dunleavy is a good coach, hopefully they will keep him around.
I love the Clippers also. They have so much talent on that team. It's ashame how, as you mentioned,Elgin Bailey(sp?), the owner and management just plagues the team.
I like Dunleavy as the coach too but was irratated frequently in this past season-how he let the team slip in many 3rd quarter marginal leads. We'll see how well or poor he does next season.
The Clippers could have made the playoffs if they would have won some of those many close games and played all 4 quarters in a few games.
We have to give a huge amount of credit to Elton Brand who played his heart out in every game. I was quite dissappointed that he wasn't selected to the All Stars game.
The Clippers has a great squad and they are gelling quite well.
I think for the team to do well, they must do the following:
1) Change the name of the Team
2) New Ownership and Management
3) Play at a different Stadium

what about the dodgers.
Someone posted that Shaq will be back with the Lakers since Phil is back. That will NEVER happen. Shaq would play for free before he went back to the Lakers.
Well you pose the question what is the Lakers where the last team left in the league? Easy, he would opt to play them alone.
Shaquille is a huge part of the NBA's success, for many reasons, including telling it how it is.
Suns! Period.

Pat Riley would shave off his head to keep Shaq, they are already negotiating his contract. He's not going anywhere. If they can keep Alonzo for defense, keep Dwayne Wade healthy and get another scorer, since Eddie Jones and Damon Jones fizzled when they needed them most, they will be right back in the Eastern Conference Finals. The third option is what they need and if the draft pick Wayne Simien is just decent they will much better than this season.
The Suns just got a lot better and a lot tougher with the addition of Kurt Thomas from the Knicks. He's the hardnosed, dirty Rodman type that they need on the glass. Amare will have lots of help on the boards now. There draft pick Dijon Thompson isn't bad either. The Suns got better!!!!!!!!!
Don't sleep on the Warriors draft pick Ike Diogu either, he's a baller.

Diogu is ok. Mullin is hopping he'll play the 4 spot like Jamison did but I doubt he will
.
I thought Alonzo was going to retire after this season because of what happen to him in New Jersey?
I heard that the lakers picked up that Bynum kid I heard the kids big with a good inside game. He should have been a Warrior but he refused to work out with us

Phil could take them to the playoffs.. first round, and that's it. 7-8 seed at best. With their roster filled with mediocre expensive players like Brian Grant, it's not happening unless some major changes happen.
Kobe realized this past year that he can't take the Lakers ALL on his shoulder... he needs help. Glad he sucked it up a little.
If Jerry Buss would have paid Phil the $10 Million he asked for last year, none of this would have happened. He would have stayed, Shaq would stay (It wasn't ALWAYS about the money, but he should still be paid the most... come on, he's MDP for a reason. You think Detroit would have tried that driving in the paint crap if Shaq's bootie was clogging it up?), and Kobe would have been let go to another team.... for say Allen Iverson or hell, Steve Nash could have came to the Lakers at that time. Now that would have been some sick *** team.
Bynum wont be playing much, he's a rookie, Phil rarely ever lets rookies play anything. So he's not going to be of much help.

I'm interested to see if draft pick Turiaf does anything in LA? From the video clips I have seen of the Bynum kid he looks real soft and he will need a lot of work!!! Lots of teaching will be needed with him and they will have to do a lot more work on him physically. He's young though so you never know. Athletically he's nothing special but he's big!!!!!!!!
Chris Taft is a wildcard for the Warriors, lot of potential to go either bust or star. Lol.

I don't think Bynum is going to do much. He doesn't appear to have a 'killer instinct' for the game. If anything, he'll make some sort of impact in about 2-3 years. I know Lakers fans won't go for another losing season so Mitch is going to have to put something big via Free Agency. Perhaps a great presence like Garnett but they might not have the cap space.
We'll be calling for Jim Tracy's head soon LOL. Well, the dodgers are only 5 1/2 game behind. I'm not worried yet but Gagne is gone so much for closing the games.

Warriors would been team to watch if they could've got Bogut, still a lot of talent on the team.
Suns would be a team to look out for as well if they can get their players back into their normal positions. Trade johnson away and use that money for ilgauskas!

Watch when we get Gary Payton to back up Nash.
