At the Caravan meet-up in Santa Clarita; sun's not even up yet.
Call this one "Alpha and Omega"

The Beastie and Sarah-7's FC; traveling companions

Caravan Driver's meeting, also known as "herding cats."

Waiting in line outside WSIR gates; took a while.
The entire planet was running a little rich just then, judging from the smell.

I must admit, I don't understand the point of this at all: Can someone explain pls?

A couple nice turboed 1st-gen engine bays:

That V8 miata was slow, what a joke! That thing couldnt handle worth a damn.. My buddy in his NA miata was walking all over that guy. Lol Anyway what kind of times were you guys lapping at Big Willow? I managed a couple 1:42's with traffic.
I heard from a few guys that ExtremeSpeed was going to post the times on their website, havent seen it yet tho..
I also saw on the CaliPhotography website that they have tons of pictures from the Mazfest/Extreme Speed/Seven Stock track day to view..

I'm mostly curious what the race cars were running for lap times.
From what I heard from several the newbies running Big Willow that track has a very high pucker factor. What did y'all think of it?

Personally, I like stretched tires on a rim, and then sometimes I'd prefer a no stretch setup. Depends on my mood really.

It's called stretch fitment, it allows for more clearance when a car is lowered. Tire gurus and wheel wizards might argue that it is not ideal, completely ignoring that style is an element which people take into effect when building THEIR car.

Looks unstable at first exposure; I'll bet they are are less than easy to get on and off without wrecking tire &/or rim, too?
I thought maybe it was a way to reduce tread contact & eliminate sidewall roll, to make drifting easier or some such.
Apparently it's all an appearance thing, though?
