Ivan rebuilt the engine in my '91 and put S4 rotors in it, along with a few other short-cut chintzy things. I had to stand over him and FORCE him to put the oil injection stuff back in (he fucked it up and I ended up premixing anyway) and had to threaten him with cops to get him to come back and finish the job. Basically ruined the value of the FC I bought from the old lady original owner.

Does anyone know of any shops in/near Modesto, CA? I'm looking at an FD in that area and want to find a shop to have it PPI'd at before I decide to purchase it.

I asked him if hes still building engines. He said "I'm not at the moment, depends what it is." Maybe I misinterpreted. JohnF I can PM you his number and you can talk to him if you'd like. LMK.

Maybe he meant hes not in the process of building one right now, i dunno. If youve heard differently let me know.

I gave Haag Performance a call and they do rebuild FC RX-7's & they gave me a rough estimate. The guy on the phone seemed nice as well. I'm stuck decided whether to rebuild this car or sell as a project.

Auto Repair in Pleasanton, CA | Rick's Performance is still working on cars I believe.

There was a place in Oakland too, I remember but I'd have to search the forum to dig it out.

No, external engine work, installs, repairs, tuning on our in house dyno, and our own manufactured race parts obviously. But no engine rebuilds. We can arrange with a builder however and have a few trusted builders we work with.
