We could bring back the big treasure island meet. A lot of so cal guys came up for that right. The last one we had Jackie and I put on and I think brought around 200 hamburgers and at least 100 hotdogs. All gone fast.

 

Did you guys have to talk to someone to host it there or did you guys just plan it and show up?

 

You just have to show up early. It is public property like a park. There is a really nice fire pit but people get there early to claim it.

 

I agreed.! Rotary Fest was badazz. But correct me if I'm wrong, there's regulation now there? You basically can't BBQ or hang out there anymore?

 

I dont know. Maybe some one a little closer to the city can check it out for us. It would be nice to set it up as the may or june meet.

We just did it there two summers ago. When did they make those rules. I seems like a waste to me they have all these mostly abandoned buildings with huge parking lots and a nice park area with three BBQ's.

 

If we cant do it there for sure lets just find some were else to do it. Somewhere with a big parking lot. We can always bring a couple BBQ's for the food. what about the place in pleasenton were they just had the japan classic car show?

 

There is that place which is really nice, and there is also Del Valle as well. I'm down to have it as a May meet.

^Im sure you can in certain areas... last i went there was last summer and a cop rolled up and explained to us there would be no more car meets on the island. not sure why

I went to a supra meet with my buddy there and we horribly herrased by police and pretty mush escorted off

 

We could always get a filming permit. That's what a couple of the companys i used to skate for would do. They would get a filming permit to film in a certain area or school and we would skate it and when the cops showed up to kick us out we would just show them the permit and say we were filming a movie.

So which places charge to get in? Last time we charged $5 a person for food. So if they charge 6 to get in it would be more like $11 a person. Anyone know of any bay area or valley areas we could use?

kinda sucks... i dropped my motor at his yuba city shop for awhile, along with a 500 downpayment, while i gathered up the rest of the funds...unfortunately my mom went to the hospital for a serious illness that required various medicines and blood transfusions and my funds went to help pay for her medical bills...afterwards i find out ben had moved and im kinda stuck....

if anyone can help...it would be greatly appreciated....

i know bens not a shady guy like that....and maybe he overlooked my engine and packed it up along with the rest of his stuff? i dunno.....but if he meant to do that...thats bad buisness yo....

He hasn't packed up his shop. He just packed up his apartment. He'll be back in a few weeks and finish all the motors/cars in his shop then pack up his shop.

I dunno he left with his **** from his place, but is towing the trailer back up here to get the **** from his shop once he finishes all the leftover work.

 

Hey I just figured out another location were we can host another big meet. I need to get some more details but by the sound of it the location is perfect for an rotary meet. I'll let you guys know when I get all the details. Its most likely going to be the location for the May meet. Its also close by the Del Puerto Canyon rd so we could have a cruise on that as well.

The Genesis is a good performer! (And the 2.0t is the one I would go for) I wouldn't pay attention to anyone sneering at you for driving a Hyundai. After all... think of all the people out there that sneer at Mazda's! I wish you could keep your FC, but believe me I have been there. Had to sell mine to make rent once!
