hey guys has anyone heard of or have gotten work done by reman13b.com the guys name is peter. any info would be great.

I've been here for years and I've never heard of him. Since you're in SF, i'd probably just go to Ricks Rotary in Pleasanton. Very reputable shop and has been in business for years.

Listen to Nader. Unless this is Peter Jun I'd be sketchy. Plus his pricing is pretty outrageous. $7800 for straight rebuild using new parts but not gauranteed to pass smog? That's like buying 3 or 4 FC's

thanks guys i might just take it to my reg guy. which is ivan in sunnyvale i was just looking for somone closer to san fran. but i guess not.

where did you hear this? all my engines pass smog, unless the engine is severely modified and port time is far away from stock.

as far as brand new engine goes, if you piece a complete engine together, part by part you will get a number somewhere around $7000-8000. you can ask mazda dealer or talk to other engine builders to confirm this.
