for those of you in the line a couple weeks ago, I was the guy that passed you guys in the slow lane in my black RX7.

It's 1 of my two. 86 and an 87.

To introduce myself, I am a huge fan of the RX7, and have a couple of different Ideas for mine, but don't know how much of my checkbook they'll take from me.

If I have the time, I plan on coming the the X-Mas meet, but nothing is final yet.

My other one isn't working atm, because the seals are wearing down, and I need to decide whether to drop a better engine in, or have it rebuilt.

anyway.

Hi.

I think that the LS1 looks sick under the hood of an FD! The guy back home in the SC RX club had one that was SCARY fast! I can't wait to see this one. What kind of exhaust are you using on it?

Nick, quit being a bitch.

Ford owned a 25% interest in Mazda back in 1977 which increased to a controlling interest of 33.4% in 1996.

here is my port work on the secondary port.

the damaged front iron from where the rotor gear was pulled into and wearing on the iron housing face, kind of hard to see but half of the front stat gear bearing is completely gone.

also kind of hard to see the rotor gear face is glazed from riding on the iron housing due to the lack of oil.

and the damaged eccentric shaft from the bearing failure.

this is out of the random blue..

But I've been wondering this a while.
Is it possible to swap a 2nd gen engine with one of those old Cosmo Triple Rotary engines, if you get new engine mounts, tranny mounts, and suspension and axel reinforcement so you dont rip off the back end of your car off?

II know that car is like twice the HP and triple the torque. If I remember right.

Just over all curious.

Is it possible?

I spent nothing on the LS1.
I’m not going to put the roll cage into the car. I like the sleeper style more. Dude I’m telling ya, it’s damn worth it. The acceleration on this car is like a 1000cc sport bike. Damn, I’m loving it.

RX7Day, there will be a 3 rotor 2nd gen in our area in March if you want to see what it looks like to have one of those motors in one of our cars.

Thanks for the pics Ben, the porting looks nice... Maybe I should put those destoryed parts on a nice wall of shame.

I have been bending the bent fins on the oil cooler back into shape. Also still thinking about hooking up a second oil cooler but we will see... most likely not just more crap to break.

Anyways, I can't wait for the xmas party. I will be there with my FC for sure, if not maybe the FD depending on how far along I get with things.
