yea that trick is great makes it so you don't have to take the fan off.

You basically just loop the belt over one Fan Fin. Rotate small amount put it over another fin and repeat. and putting it back on same process.

Alternator is on and the car is running again. I think i tightened it too much because it makes a whining noise? The belt was fine so I didn't have to replace it, so it was just unscrew old one, bolt on new one.

Thanks for the advice guys

if the belt is slipping it'll squeel. double check to make sure it isnt overtightened. you can prematurely wear the bearings on the alternator and also stress the bearings on the water pump as well

So when and were it the next meet?

We might want to consider making a separate page for each meet. It is hard to scan through all the pages of this thread try to find info on them.

Hakone hasn't called me back, I'm heading out to do another dry run and will stop by the gardens to check parking and prices. Last time I went there I remember paying $5 or $7 for parking but I can't remember the actual amount. I'll check on that today and get back to ya.

^^^^^^ Awesome Idea!!! Didn't even occur to me. Looks like we're going to have plenty of events this year. I still don't know what's happening in April (stall waiting on John to email "The Shop" guys) and Don't know what's going on in May ( maybe john and Damon will host the SF meet then? or June (Jaiyurai offered to host a BBQ and go watch some races at Infineon).

Brooke found a car museum up North, Peter had a good idea about planting trees, now we have the observatory and who knows what else! This is going to be a fun year.

Good suggestion, my only beef is competition. Everyone and their brother that comes out of the womb knowing about the Mt. Hamilton runs. There are also regular meets there for just about any car under the sun, so IF we do go, don't expect it to be an exclusive meet.

don't really care about the rest. Just wanna make sure nobody in our group does anything dumb and/or dangerous. My main concern is making sure we go to Mt. Hamilton this summer (nice DRY conditions instead of wet roads).

We should have a brake inspection meet to make sure we all have good brakes and nobody will put themselves in danger ( the road to mt. Ham is pretty steep and can take a toll on your brakes, I burnt myself touching the rotors once )

Plus, I don't see it as competition. It's more like, other dangers to avoid. You never know when bravado and adrenaline will make someone go .

Yeah I forgot about those. If you have a rough suspension, you don't want to drive there.

its bearable if you have spring+shocks. But most coilovers are really bad.

So about the shirts. I was pretty busy week so I'm going to have to stick with the old design. There's going to be 2 shirts that will be raffled off on Saturday. One in L one in XL.

They won't be top quality since silk screening has a 12 shirt minimum. It'll just be a transfer and it won't last longer than a couple times in the washer, just something cool until I have time to finish up a final design.

If you want a chance to win this shirt, just bring $1 and give it to me at the meet this Saturday. I'll arrange some kind of raffle system. At a specific time I'll pull out two names and they'll get the shirts. Donations are also welcomed

so how's the list going? How many people are showing up?

Any donations
