Who here is interested in getting a Nor Cal Rotary Club going and attending monthly meets and Track events?I have been talking with a few people and organizing something like this.Everyone who is for this getting started post here.This club would start a great network of rotary owners who like to race and cruise. Make new friends and party like rock stars!.How about we start off the new year 2008 with our first meet in Janurary, every second Saturday like the so cal club. This would be Janurary 12th 2008.Let me know all you nor cal rotary guys.It would be held in or around the bay area so anybody who can make it from afar your attendance would be appreciated.

So this is more of a bay area club, like BARotary? Are there going to be meets closer to the valley for the Sacramento guys? Vacaville is a good middle point for a BBQ meet

yea we should have a middle point for the Sac guys. and we should vary locations maybe we go up to sac one time and they come to the bay one time something like that.

First meet should be something simple just the ice breaker. Maybe Greet and Eat somewhere cheap and go for cruise if people want.

...vacaville? that's hella far. Most people are in the east bay here. I know the 300zs have a meet at union landing every friday at around 8 or 9. Maybe we can meet up with them too.

is this for 7 mainly? the 8 guys meet up in union city at like 7 on friday and they probably would be down.

I like rotary meets, not the let-every-ricer-friend-of-mine-come-with-me meet (you don't count ILIKETOEATRICERS, even though you need a kick in the ***** for what you did). The last time I went to a meet I was disappointed by all the stupids so I haven't gone to a single meet since (that was in '03?)

Hello Everyone,

We could meet half way with the sac guys.I would also like the BARotary members so I will post in there also.I visit the forum there and it dosent have very many visitors.
I also know there is some meet going on in union city at the Krispy Kreme around 9 on saturdays so we could possibly join with them in the evenings.
Who here already goes to that meet?
This meet is mostly for rotary guys but we can make an exception for you Stan since you used to own one.

I have posted in the Sac thread and if more of the east side nor cal guys were to come out for the meet, we could possibly have it in vacaville since I know the area also.Spots could be diffrent every month.I would like to organize it into 3 sections and meeting earlier in the day would be better, around noon.Possibly getting some lunch in our bellies and possibly a nice cruise in different parts of the bay area and possibly a cruise to Sac to meet the guys out there.Also photos taken and posted on the forums.Later on if people do come out and attend we can have larger venues like BBQ's, Track days, and caravans to larger events and outings.

The first meet would be in Janurary on the 12th , Saturday.
I had 3 spots in mind:

1-) Treasure Island

2-) Berkeley Marina

3-) Ocean Beach in SF
