Depends on what part of cali you are living in. I live in the bay area and I usually never turn on my AC even during the summer. Rolling down the window is generally enuff and just crack your windows a little bit when you park.

The AC in my FC didn't work when I got the car, so rather than recharge the system, I ripped it out.

Some time later I went on a cruise through the desert. The only thing that saved me was a spray bottle and a chest full of cold drinks. But hey, without the AC condensor, there's nothing to stop the flow through the main radiator.

I live in Northern California in the borderline bay/valley. I have no AC.... well I do but it doesn't really work so I have never used it, just rolled down the window and sweat. It got 110 degrees this summer here and I survived.

The only time I drive with my windows up is if it's raining hard.

I guess it's an old habit from my previous car which smelled like mold / gasoline all the time.

even with the windows down in the fc, not much air comes in. I would have to redirect the air with my arms.

Mine is out, I want to put it back in though. I like to be able to defrost my windshield.

hmm well i was thinking about just cutting the sections out that were getting in the way, and adding high pressure hoses, something like 300psi hoses

Broken AC in LA....gotta keep the fan blowing at 3, hot, to prevent overheating. I just keep the windows down and drive as fast as I can.

glendale, CA's pretty hot. But put down the window it'll be too cold, and put the window up it gets too hot.

So 3/4's of the way is juuuuust right. +/- 1/16 of an inch of course, depending how you like it.

The car I am buying has no AC and the windows don't work. Luckily winter is soon, so it shouldn't be too hot.
