doctor7, whereabouts in socal are you? I just bought my helmet from this place:
http://www.motorhelmets.com/
Most of their stuff is for bikes but they were one of the few shops I found close to me that actually had helmets for automotive (so I can try one on for size). I picked up an HJC AR-10 for 265 (with tax it came out to around 290). I will be back to see them for a dark smoke visor

I'm in pasadena, yeah I have seen they r kinda prciey, that's why I was asking how much they rented them for, as they say they have rentals available. I just picked up a new bov, a 220 hit, hopefully I get it tomorrow so I can be ready for fontana, as mine stopped working. But thanks for the site, maybe next week I can grab one. Also thanks payne for the info

Can't make this one but I'll be thinking about you guys.
FYI, for the newbies, if you have nice paint you might want to bring some wide painter's masking tape (blue stuff is the best). Cones can leave little marks. The marks will buff out but it takes some work so a lot of folks just protect cone attracting surfaces (IE entire width of front lip, behind wheels, etc)
