Need Help Belt Size Stock Pulley minus air pump
Does anyone know what size and or model belt is needed to run stock pulleys (alt) without the air pump? I am downgrading from the aftermarket pulleys and the belt is a little to large.

I have about every size it could possibly be sitting in my car right now. If you want to wait until the dyno day in so cal I could sell you which ever one fits your application for the price I paid for it. I believe I have a 295 a 300 and a 305 all in 4 rib.

It's about a 28" belt. 27 & 3/4" is too small and 28 & 3/4" is too long, so forget about 29" which looks to be right since it's easier to install but you won't be able to tighten it enough.
The problem you will have is the belt will slip since there won't be enough tension which is why the pulley kits have a larger tension wheel. There's a better explenation on Pineapples web site.
