Exclamation Need Help, Any help is welcomed!

Okay first I want u guys to excuse me for the stupid question, This is my first rotary so yeah How can I tell if I blew a Apex Seal? and if my car is flooded will it always keep flooding? I already did the un-flood methods that I found searching for this problem, but I am a little worried cus when I get it started it smokes so bad and by bad I mean thick white smoke coming out both exhaust looks like a fire extinguisher is in the back of my car. is this normal after un-flooding and if so how long does the smoke last coming out? or is motor on its last leg? Any help is greatly appreciating and thnx for taking the time to read this.

To test the apex seal use a compression test and it's common for rx7 to flood if the motor is old. If it continuously blows out white smoke then your coolant seals are gone

Another noob question. How do I do a Compression test? The motor I would say is fairly old. It's a 89 GTU 163k miles and im the 3rd owner. Well before this flooding it would blow smoke for like 2mins till the engine warmed up then it would stop, just yesterday when I tried the un-flooding method is when it really started to smoke thick white smoke so I turned if off.

So your telling me it is a blown apex seal? and I dont think I wanna junk my 7 lol. I rather just invest in it and fix it or sell it and try to get what I paid for. since the car is in perfect condition inside and out (except for the motor if its blown)

Thick white smoke is caused by bad coolant seal, possibly broken lip on an iron too.

Unless he had a **** ton of gas in the exhaust, I had an FC once that flooded real bad, SOOO bad that i tied it to the back of the GF's 240 and clutch kicked that ****** to start it, Burnt out all the gas sitting in the exhaust, and never had a problem again after that

Go smell the exhaust, is it sweet? or does it smell like ****?

I removed the EGI Fuse first, then I jumped in the car pressed the gas pedal and tried cranking it for 20secs while still holding down the gas pedal. then hopped out and put the egi fuse back and it started..

This may not be the answer you're looking for but... cough up some dough and take it to Lucky7 for a check up. They'll tell you whats wrong with it and whats needed to get it running perfectly. Sometimes its cheaper to take it to a shop than mess with it yourself for days and not get anywhere. The pinoy above can tow it there. Just give him a stray cat and some bbq sauce in return for the favor
