ok i found a 88 RX7 body is great, needs paint though, interior is good just missing the center things and thats about it, the engine is all there even power steering, but the car has yellow stuff all over it. i am thinking its from water so that puts me to think that it has overheating problems... the guy says that the water pump was busted and that they fix it but i dont trust and not sure.

so my question is should i buy this car? i will fix it but will it cost alot to fix the water pump and stuff?

 

Water pumps dont explode, they leak. if it's covered in orange-ish stuff, it most likely was a radiator hose (upper one most likely). Easiest way to find out if its worth getting...test drive it then before shutting it down, let it idle and see if it overheats.
