N. Cali Readers!!!

Hey I'm from the Yuba City area (Beale to be exact). I'm having random difficulties with my car and once I finally get it started back up and running I would LOVE to be able to take it someone that can do basically a full run down of my car and tell me the problems, what needs to get fixed right away, what will take some time, ect. But the problem is I don't know of any place except the Mazda Dealership in Roseville and I really want to avoid them as much as possible.

Does anyone have any place in mind? I'm looking for some place that won't cost much of course but reliability is my main focus. I want someone I can completely trust to not screw me over with faulty parts or just plain lack of work ethic. This is my baby and she needs to be treated with the utmost care. I would do a lot of work on it myself but I'm basically car illiterate as well as damn too busy to be working on it on a daily basis. Please please PLEASE help me here.

Anywhere in the Yuba, Roseville or Sacramento area would be great. If you have an address/phone number that would be amazing.

Either respond or e-mail me:
shady_ninja_productions@hotmail.com

Thanks a whole bunch guys, I really appreciate the effort and the help!

Definately Karack, his shop is in Yuba City and he knows his stuff. Myself and many others have had our engines rebuilt by him.

Sorry guys, my parents were in town this weekend.

Ninja, I'm on base as well. Do you own the Silver FD or an FC? I work on the Global Hawk. I fully recommend Karack to you. He works on my FC and my wife's FD. Great prices, even better quality!! If you want to discuss things my work extension is X-9276 and ask for SSgt. Lefler.

OMG, how many people are on base that have RXs? I know there's a guy w/ the Yellow RX-8 and two w/ black ones (I work with one and the other works across the street from me).

anyway, I'll check up on that. First I gotta get my car running to actually take it there. I've gone through two alternators so far. My old one that came with the car died so I bought a new one and a new battery. But it won't hold a charge. After I jump start the car once I take the cables off the car dies about 2 minutes later. So I returned that new alternator and have another one. Haven't installed it yet but if it doesn't work then I'm really f*cked.

But yeah, Karack, where is your shop located? Once I get my car fixed I'm gonna take it there and hopefully be able to get it fully diagosed.

Btw, I'm the black RX-7 (Gen 2) that's at the ALS Dorms.

You don't have to have the car running to get it to Karack's shop. I could help you out with getting it over there if you want. PM me if you want to talk on the phone about it and I'll give you my cell number.

There are a few 7's on base. I have a red TII, there's the RX-8's, you, 2 non turbo FC's, a convertible FC, and a silver FD.

Well so far my car has been out of commission for about a month now (just lack of determination to fix it). In case you don't know which one it is, I'm at the ALS dorms (for those of you who live/work on base) and I'm the black RX-7. It's a little dirty but I'll work on that later. It's completely stock too, nothing fancy but that'll fix when the time comes of course.

But I just got my alternator to work finally but I think it's running very rough. First off it's burning up and is really hot and that's just after about a minute of running. My old alternator didn't do that. And when I rev up to anywhere past 3k RPM, if I let go of the gas it feels like the car's about to die. I think there's a problem with the wiring between the alternator and battery. If I turn on a lot of things (radio, defroster, A/C, headlights, ect) then my voltage drops to almost 12. It usually sits around 14. So, it's running and I think I can make it to Karack's shop but when I get it there, it's not going anywhere for a while till I can fix it.

Yeah, sometime this weekend I'm gonna try and get it down there. Boost, I'll give you a call during the weekend when I'm ready. Thanks all for the help! Hope to see you on the weekend!
