i was there putting a turbo kit on a spec v but yeah he just didnt stop......asking all kinds of questions when pulled the throttle body off and then the oil pan......couldnt exactly wrap his head around why you needed to pull the oil pan for a turbo install
and we are back at that god forbid i might actually know something about a car and god forbid someone would actually want my advice.....

Edit: Well, most people's families have cars, but a lot of times they just have new cars that they take to the dealership for warranty work. You know what I mean.

Yeah, I'm sure. It sucks that unfortunately not everybody gets to grow up around vehicles, though the FSM helps a lot.

I can agree with that, to caveat; people who strike out to accomplish something and fail read better in my book than somebody who never tries or relies on others solely. We all aren't blessed with natural capabilities, access to tools, buddies willing to help or a sufficient knowledge base (which exists in SoCal). A bruised ego and a learned lesson is far more valuable IMHO.
Asking for help when you're stuck is one thing, being too lazy to search or utilize critical thinking skills is another.

LOL, I can't disagree with you. I think a lot of young guys are like that. "**** it! THIS BITCH IS COMING OUT!" Patience is a virtue not easily learned. Some are born with it and some learn it; albeit via expensive mistakes. Women are naturally more patient and calm. What I see is a lot of quitters, who go on to bad mouth a rotary or tuning in general. I guess that's our generation though, people who drive in 4th gear when they could utilize 5th and 6th...
lol holy moly!!!!
I think this is one of the few times i can see Archie and 2cute agreeing on the same issue!!!! i love it. I also agree with Archie and 2cute on several key points.
Not all of us have had the privilege of having someone teach us how things get done mechanically in our lives. I been blessed at a young age when my father made me help and assist on fixing and TLCing on the family car. In this sense i have always enjoyed mechanical things all through out my life.
Jen's point on how ego play a big roll in many unfortunate mishaps when a guy will not, or rather has not been taught how to reach out and ask for HELP!!!!.
this **** is so funny cause there are still many many things i don't have a clue on how it works and what the hell do i do with it. It is simply amazing. BTW i refuse to pull over and ask for directions, that why i have navigation on my car.....
