For the record, **** pulling over and asking for directions! Yeah, my Magellan was the best $485 +tax I ever spent! I would never get anywhere in Cali without it! Of course, being a guy, I had to get the top of the line one...

LOL, I can't disagree with you. I think a lot of young guys are like that. "**** it! THIS BITCH IS COMING OUT!" Patience is a virtue not easily learned. Some are born with it and some learn it; albeit via expensive mistakes. Women are naturally more patient and calm. What I see is a lot of quitters, who go on to bad mouth a rotary or tuning in general. I guess that's our generation though, people who drive in 4th gear when they could utilize 5th and 6th...
but its like, and i have seen this a million times, say you are taking a bolt out. say said bolt is being stubborn and doesnt want to come out. i have seen sooo many people just keep rounding the head off to the point where the poor thing is a perfect circle and then they start throwing **** cuz now they are totally fucked. its like well if you had taken the time to figure out another way to get the damn thing out you wouldnt be here cursing and throwing **** around. and if you cant think of another way god forbid you ask someone else.
its **** like that that drives me insane.
that and people thinking they can do everything and dont need anyones help. and then when they **** up i love the watching the ego crumble as they come groveling. at which point it costs twice as much for me to fix it lol.

I think this is one of the few times i can see Archie and 2cute agreeing on the same issue!!!! i love it. I also agree with Archie and 2cute on several key points.
Not all of us have had the privilege of having someone teach us how things get done mechanically in our lives. I been blessed at a young age when my father made me help and assist on fixing and TLCing on the family car. In this sense i have always enjoyed mechanical things all through out my life.

the funny thing is for the most part i didnt have anyone there to teach me either. i had my uncles and god father there that were big into muscle cars so thats how i got my start with cars wrenching with them. but it was a lot a learn on your own thing.
they were very big on here is a screw driver, i know you havent ever tuned a carb but go.......oh and here is a chiltons for you.....

I wish I grew up in a family that was orientated around one of my passions... My family thinks my car is a waste of time and that I should focus on buying a house and getting old
