MazFest 2007
Evo hunting? Its not a race, especially at the novice level. If someone even creeps up on you, you are supposed to slow down and let them pass.
I don't think there is that much difference between novice and intermediate. My first trip there they bumped me to INT simply because of the FD. If you get bumped up to INT you can try to whip my mazda 3 ****.

Hey everyone, I met a few of you guys in person and wanted to say how much fun I had racing on Saturday even though I didn't have my Rx-7 that day. There was one of you guys racing with a nice white FC, looked like a turbo model, and you were spitting flames everywhere (I was in the silver Integra behind you during one of our sessions in the afternoon)
I couldn't believe how many wipeouts there were, too bad the blue group got the shaft on track time. Also, I don't know if any of you guys paid attention, but there was a tall thin guy on Saturday in a green shirt driving a miata that was pretty much driving right past the black and silver Porsche 997 911 turbos
that kind of stuff makes me laugh.
I met a few of the FD people: Joel, Andy, Ken, Mike, Dave, and Crosby (is that your last name?)... hope to see you guys again, I spend a lot of time in San Diego, Culver City/Los Angeles, and San Bernardino so if you're ever around and want to attend an Rx-7 cruise/meet PM me so we can meet up.

Heres a video of my 85 gsl-se turbo running around the track. This was my first outing with my 7. Its about 19min long with me spinning out towards the end of the video. Also an RX-8 spins out after I wave him bye.
What kind of speeds was everyone reaching down the main straight?

i don't know how fast i was going in the straight, compared to you guys my car was slowwww. i was hitting about 75-80 in that back long sweep though..i want to push it more..honest!
haha funny. i wouldnt trust it in my parking space. i have a homeless dude who hangs out next to my trashbin every tues and thursday. not to say he wants more than more than recyclables..but you never know where a rotary enthusiast might lie.
