Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know this had escalated to rubbing salt in old wounds...

uuummm NO! It ran this last Saturday, if I must tell you the truth. In the time you've blown up 3+ motors and destoyed an FD, my sh&%t is still there and running. Damn... I don't fire it for months at a time and she always starts right up... now that is rotary reliability! In your case it's always been about DC inflicted, not RE's fault!!!

Funny that you SAY it runs, yet I've not seen your ride, at a Meet... since before I destroyed anything... But that Altima you had for a while was kickass.... and the SocalRxClub is in as many pieces as my last rotary motor... I've been going to meets and the SF Valley is DEAD

Well if you showed to any meets in the last few years... but showing up to 2 or 3 meets in the last 5 years, I'm surprised you've seen anything at all!! You've never seen my $100 mobile at meets either, but that doesn't mean it doesn't run or been out... if you have to ask...

myself and the RX community owes a debt to that bad boy NISSAN ... it's that ride that's helped me organize, support, and attend many a Rotary meet or event. Even showing up to RX meets to just support the community, not matter that I didn't have my RX available.... unlike.. well....

wow!! now you've crossed the line with the club...

hey you make it sound as if you've been a regular active attendee for the last few years or something... but interestingly enough, the one time you decide to show to meet, in what, the last 2 or 3 years, it's to the wrong location. Unfortunately, we the club guys got sick of seeing ONLY each others faces every month, so we figured that no one else really cares or wanted to meet much anymore... so now the monthly meets are loose, whenever, type deals. Sorry, but that's what the reality here now for SCRXClub regular club meets. We are concentrating on bigger events like SevenStock, Mazfest, etc...

fortunately enough, it seems that there are folks on this forum who organize meets, bbqs, for other enthusiast, so we're not sweating it. We did it because before no one else was doig anything, but now there are many good options out there.

Ironically enough, it's the So-Cal RX Club that is organizing this Mazfest event, and since we are in so many peices, as you say, I feel that you may want to request a refund ASAP from Redline, let me know if you need assistance I wouldn't want to disappoint ya!

Alright DC, I'm done with this convo , and will concede to you the last word on it... thanks for helping me keep Mazfest at the top of the forum list. Always a pleasure to !!

Hello everyone!

There are only two weeks to go before our event at Buttonwillow Raceway, CA on July 7th-8th. The event is beginning to fill up at this point. I needed to make sure all of you were aware of the event and didnt miss out on your chance to participate in the event at Buttonwillow.

We currently have 49 people signed up for Saturday and 53 for Sunday. Our limit for this event is 80 per day. Saturday, July 7th is open to all makes/models of vehicles and all skill levels. Sunday is reserved for Mazdas only as this is MazFest 2007.

To register for the event, please use this link:

I'm signed up for Saturday because I want to go EVO hunting. It'll be my first time on a road course so I signed up novice. Couple questions:

Will this be flagged passing?

What criteria do they use for bumping you up a class?

Also any thoughts whether it's worth the extra $25 for a timing transponder?

Evo hunting? Its not a race, especially at the novice level. If someone even creeps up on you, you are supposed to slow down and let them pass.

I don't think there is that much difference between novice and intermediate. My first trip there they bumped me to INT simply because of the FD. If you get bumped up to INT you can try to whip my mazda 3 ****.
