I tried to register, but at this particular time there was no "SSL" encryption on the Redline "Site" so I would advise not to enter any financial information untill that's fixed... As an alternative e-mail them @ their custumer info link, and ask to register by phone or another "safer" method....

DCrosby,
if you're having issues please call Redline directly and they'll be happy to take your information by phone.
Once you go to "pay" in the site all the security features you've grown to love are in place.

Hotel, where is the track (up north)? Dang, i'd end up paying for the room and sleeping int he car. Free HBO & Speedchannel is cool. Outdoor BBQ, sounds like a get together to me. So, who's all going? Maybe a cravan up there?

Yeah, I was gunna do both days but it's $150/day for about an hour of race time? You have to be there before 7am which would mean no sleep on friday or take the day off. Too little track time for me even if it includes an instructor. If anyone is caravaning on Sat and spending the night, post below.

It will be ~2 hours of track time saturday,
and ~2.5 hours of track time sunday.

Not sure where you got the 1 hour from.

I will be there Saturday and sunday. If anyone is going saturday, look for me in a Silver Super Charged C5, not mine though I will be teaching the vette new tricks.

Will be taking the FD aswell for the event.

I didn't see it rotated the classes. Yeah abour 2.5hrs/day which is ok considering they are 30 strait through. AutoX is about 6hrs but 15min wait for every 2 min of track time.

You'll be doing 80+ MPH at Buttonwillow. AutoXing is fun and takes a lot of skill to be good, but there's no open racetrack.

Goracer, you can do this, but both driver will need to be registered with REDLINE. Please contact REDLINE directly for details on how to register for this situation.

GoRacer, are you saying that you get 6hrs of track time when auto-x? Because based on your 15min wait for every 2 min of track you would need 7.5 hours of "straight" time, no breaks for lunch, cones, etc.. to complete just 1 hour (30 x 2min runs) of auto-x track time. Now to complete the 6 hours of auto-x "track time" you mentioned, that would be 45 hours straight with no breaks... and you would end up making 180 2 minute runs in that time... that's pretty impressive! What auto-x events are these?

if you didn't mean "track time" but total event time instead, then I would see where one could make maybe 15 to 20 runs in a day, or about 30 to 40 minutes of total track time per day, does this sound right?

just trying to learn here.... thnx!

My math was wrong and it was corrected previously. Allthough I was not refering to race day on AutoX but practice day which is 5 of 6 sessions of the day. Race day is only 3 runs, not much fun. I prefer practice days.

This sounds like fun. Sessions are more then two min and there are several of them. I don't think my g/f would be happy being a passenger and prefers racing street bikes, so to entertain her I was asking about her driving as you can do in AuztoX (as an example again).

Ok thanks... I was just wondering.

On the GF just contact the REDLINE boys for details on sharing a car in same group.
