ill try the CAS first thing tomorrow morning. as for me being a dumbass, yea i prolly am for trying to do my own swap at 16 years old but i dont like to give up on things. if i can get my motor running right without taking it to a shop it'll be a huge accomplishment for me. wacky im not trying to talk **** to its just that your comments are adding to the stress that i have with my car. im dropping any and everything because i dont see any reason in us having issues with each other when were both into the same things. ppl like you are the kind of ppl i want to be kool with. if you have any suggestions for my car then there very much appreciated and if not then thats fine too. thanks everyone for all your help and ill keep you posted on the progress

Well, since im much more like a chiquita banana, for sure it will hurt someone.
There is really no way to have the timing off that much. Align the pully marks, aligth the dot on the CAS and stab it making sure you 'center' where the set screw goes in. Deflood it, and make sure your plugs are clean and dry. Foot on the throttle and crank it. Once/if it fires up, play with the throttle to keep it alive. If you take your foot off the pedal and it dies, it prolly has a major vacuum leak somewhere.
You sure this jdm motor you got is any good?

haha thanks for the b-day props. yea ok so im a dumbass for trying my own swap while turning 17? haha i did a full compression check and everything was normal. all my vacuum lines are connected too.
by the way would JB Weld be able to hold my intake manifold together due to all the pressure thats being put through it? i popped off my UIM again and wouldn't ya know it my intake manifold broke (again) and i dont have any spares one lying around this time. would JB Weld work? if not i guess imma have to buy one off of someone. is there any other UIM's that i could use? would a FD one work?

I broke my UIM at the flange, kinda inverse of what you have and I just had a machine shop weld it for me. It cost 60 bux but that's prolly cheeper than buying a used one. I wouldn't trust jb at all for that, it's more of a metal filler than anything.
I'm also in the same boat as you, although my problems are with a fresh rebuild I did myself. I'm about to just push it down my hill and hope it starts but I'm checking my other options first. Good luck man.
