Can't wait to see the results from the engine overhaul and tuning for my FD at Garage Life. Dan is tuning for BNR stage 3 twins on 91 pump gas.

Seems like there's quite a bit of misinformation going on in this thread, but that's neither here nor there. I've known Fris for close to 10 years and he's always been a stand up guy with me.

Pretty cool that we can debate about 4-5 good shops within 50 miles of each other.. I've dealt w/ Louie over the years and my cars going to Lucky 7 but I wouldn't hesitate to send it to RRR, GarageLife or R Power.

Thank you, I'm located in west Texas, and need a tune on my 7 with a halltech 1000. Does he have his own shop?

Hi guys, havent visited the old rx7 club in a while...but i saw this thread and thought i would ask... I havent messed with my 7 in 4 or so years... however i thought (At that time) that garage life was outsourcing the motor builds to lucky7?

Was that true then?

Im assuming now that everythings in house now?

Ive always liked both shops, Theyve always treated me kindly even when im one of those customers that has a million questions

Dan @ Garage Life built my motor. He even sent me pictures of the progress. I would highly recommend Garage Life. Their approach is comprehensive because they build and then tune the setups.

Hi,
No i do not outsource engine building, it is done with my own two hands. The only thing I outsource is machine work such as lapping, resurfacing, balancing, rotor cutting, studding , etc. I do rent lucky 7 racings dyno to tune my customers cars.

thanks

Dan

These guys (Garage Life) worked on my FC3S...fun times. DK is a long friend of mine, waay before he had his shop, someone who I stuck close to in learning more about mechanics and drifting. He's knowledgeable and the quirkiest character I know. I think most Rotary owners are...we're something different.

My setup:
-Downpipe
-HiFlow Cat
-Exhaust
-Intake
-SMIC Upgrade
-IC Pipes + Compression Tube
-Efini Y-Pipe + Pettit Racing Chargepipe
-Fuel pump upgrade on stock injectors
-PFC

Unfortunately I was having boost issue was not able to boost past 8psi with secondary coming on. So Im capped at 244rwhp. Back to the drawing board.

On the upside the throttle is a lot more responsive and the car runs way smoother.

Update:

My motor built by Lucky7 is still running flawlessly after about 3 years of track duty. Engine is a large street port with ALS seals and pretty much OEM everything else. I premix about 8oz a tank w/ OMP. Engine is tuned by Abel Ibarra. Pump gas no AI.

What's the deal with lucky 7? I have been calling and calling and left several messages over the last two weeks but have never got into contact with them. Anyone know if they are out of town or something?
