To the thread starter- I'm dropping my ls1 in on Friday the 21st, if you want to come down and see whats involved and lend a hand (I most definetly would appreciate it!) then by all means, come on down!

Actually, do you know how to wire in a relay for a efan and if you want to help me find some wires (6 of them I believe) and expose them for the ls1?

To answer your question-

Not hard.

Less than 100 hours of work.

I can have my LS1 from running to on the ground in 3 hours. And back again in 5-6

Yeah, the longest part of the swap is just waiting for the parts and piecing everything together, the rest is easy! I hope to have my car done in 1 weekend if everything arrives at the same time

The only way it will arrive all at the same time is if you order everything from Hinson and request that it all leaves his shop in one big and well packaged crate.

I had the same optimistic outlook as you and then Murphys Law kicked my ***. http://www.torquecentral.com/showthread.php?t=35058 BTW, I'm still waiting on parts. But the motor is mounted in the car. That only took a few hours.

If grannys kit would have actually fit then maybe just maybe I would have completed the swap in a weekend, well its getting rewired today and we'll see how much we can accomplish, maybe just maybe it'll be done

get a $5 light from autozone, and label it, and you are fine.

The LS1 ses activation is a ground, so all he has to do is wire 5v to that light.

2 wires

It's rotary, and there is no set amount of years rotaries last, everything is in the tuning, fuel, driving habits, etc. You can make a rotary last one mile or 200,000+ (NA only )
